We believe that there is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that exists and creation. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent – one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, our triune God!
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that mankind was created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him, yet we willfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which we were intended. Because of this, sickness, death, and judgment entered the world and now creation experiences the effects and consequences of sin.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One, empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s kingdom on earth. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and is now alive today in the presence of God the Father and in His people. He is "true God" and "true man."
We believe that we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and adopts us as we enter the kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.
We believe in the ongoing, sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life and minister supernaturally. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 1:4-8 and 2:4, is poured out on believers so that they might have God’s power to be His witnesses.
We believe in the victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy – sin, lies, sickness, and torment.
We believe that the Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His Church the ordinances of baptism and communion. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God’s love, and discipling the nations – baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.
We believe in the ever-increasing government of God and in the Blessed Hope, which is the glorious, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign with His overcoming bride – the Church.
We believe that heaven and hell are real places. There will be a resurrection of the lost and the saved, the one to everlasting death and the other to everlasting life.
We at Destiny Faith Center believe:
Biblical Inerrancy: The Bible is the Word of God, and that its original manuscripts are free from errors and contradictions. It is the one and only infallible, authoritative, and trustworthy rule for faith and life. (2 Peter. 1:21, 2 Tim. 3:16). The Catholic apocrypha is not inspired scripture.
God: God is the only Supreme Being with no gods created before or after Him (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6; 44:8). He has always been God (Psalm 90:2). He is Holy (Rev. 4:8), Eternal (Isaiah 57:15), Omnipotent (Jer. 32:17,27), Omnipresent (Psalm 137-12), Omniscient (1 John 3:20); etc. He is Love (1 John 4:8, 16); Light (1 John 1:5); Spirit (John 4:24); Truth (Psalm 117:2); Creator (Isaiah 40:12,22,26), etc. He is to be worshiped (Gen. 24:26; Ex. 4:31; 2 Chron. 29:28; 1 Cor. 14:25; Rev. 7:11). He is to be served (Matt. 4:10;1 Cor. 6:19; Phil. 3:7; 1 Thess. 1:9; Heb. 9:14). He is to be proclaimed (Matt. 28:19f.; John 14:15f.; Acts 1:8)
Trinity: There is one God in whom there are three eternal, simultaneous persons -- the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. All three are the one God, coeternal, coequal, etc., yet there is only one God, not three, and not one person who took three modes, or forms. (Isaiah 44:6,8; 45:5; Gen. 1:26-27; 3:22; Matt. 3:17; 28:19; Luke 10:35; 2 Cor. 13:14)
Jesus: Jesus Christ is the Word (God) who became a man. He added human nature to His divine nature. He is presently both human and divine, and, therefore, has two natures. Yet, He is one person, not two. He is not part God and part man. He is presently wholly God and wholly man. (Phil. 2:5-11; Col. 2:9; 1 Tim. 3:16; Heb. 1:5-13; John 1:1-3,14)
Virgin Birth: Jesus Christ was miraculously conceived and born of the virgin Mary. (Luke 1:42)
Resurrection: Jesus Christ rose again in the same body (a glorified body) on the third day after His death. He ascended bodily into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, and rules heaven and earth. (John 2:19; 1 Cor. 15; Luke 24:39). Likewise, we Christians will be raised bodily from the dead and spend eternity with the Lord.
Substitutionary Atonement: God so loved us that He sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Jesus became man and bore our sins in His body on the cross (1 Peter. 2:24) and died in our place suffering the consequences of the breaking the Law that was due us. He became sin on our behalf (2 Cor. 5:21). As a result, God's justice was satisfied and Christian believers are released from eternal punishment. (Isaiah 53:4-12; 3:18; Matt. 1:21; Rom. 5; 1 John 2:2)
Man’s Condition: Man is fallen, corrupt, and wicked. Man believes in God by grace through faith, is unable to come close to God through his own efforts, nor can he win salvation by his attempt at good works, nor once saved does he maintain his salvation by his works, nor can he understand the spiritual things of God on his own. Eternal punishment in hell and separation from the blessed presence of God are the consequences of the unregenerate person's sinfulness. (John 6:44; 15:5; Rom. 8:7; 1 Cor. 2:14; 2 Cor. 3:5; Phil. 2:13)
Divine Election: "From all eternity God chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love 5 He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will." (Eph. 1:4-5)
Justification by Grace through Faith Alone: We are saved from damnation by the undeserved and unearned mercy and kindness of God, not because of our good works but because of the imputed righteousness of Christ to the one who has faith in Christ alone. This justification is received by faith alone and only upon trusting the true and living Lord Jesus. (Eph. 1:1-11; 2:8, Rom. 3:23; Gal. 2:21)
Sanctification: Sanctification is the process by which the Holy Spirit makes us more like Christ in all that we do, think, and desire. (1 Thess. 4:7; Eph. 2:10; 1 Tim. 4:4; 1 Peter. 3:15). This process continues all of the Christian's life and is the result of salvation, not a cause of it. Furthermore, the effort of sanctification does not maintain salvation.
Christian Church: God calls Christians to his Church (Worship Temple) where the Word of God is preached, where baptism and the Lord's Supper (communion) is administered, where believers are discipled and lovingly disciplined, and where believers serve to build up one another. (Matt. 16:18)
Church Officers: God calls qualified Christians to be ordained and to serve Jesus Christ in special leadership capacities, i.e. Elders, Deacons, Ministers of the Word, and Evangelists. The office(s) of pastor and elder is limited to qualified men only, called by God, recognized by the body, and meet the biblical standard of eldership. Women are not to be pastors nor elders. (1 Tim. 2:11-15; 3:11-13; Titus 1)
Rapture: The event where, upon Jesus' return, those who have died in Christ and those Christians who are then alive will be physically caught up to the clouds and meet the Lord Jesus in the air. We will then forever be with the Lord. (1 Thess. 4:16-5:2)
Second Coming: Jesus Christ will bodily and visibly come from heaven with great glory and majesty. Then all human creatures will appear in person before Him to be judged -- men, women, and children, who have lived from the beginning until the end of the world. The evil ones will receive everlasting torment. The faithful ones will receive everlasting life on a new world. So we look forward to that great day with longing in order to enjoy fully the promises of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord. (Matt. 24; Rev. 19-21)
All matters of faith and conduct must be evaluated based on Holy Scripture, which, is our infallible guide (2 Timothy 3:16–17). Since the Holy Bible does speak to the nature of mankind beings and their sexuality, it is imperative that we correctly understand and articulate what the Bible teaches on these matters. We are committed to the home and family as outlined in Holy Scripture. We believe God has ordained and created marriage to solely exist between one man and one woman, with absolute marital fidelity. The Bible sets forth specific home and family values, which include the distinct roles of husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, and children.
It is with firm conviction that we uphold the dignity of each individual, as we embrace the unchanging and long-standing principles of scriptural truth. Based on Holy Scripture and the constant moral teaching of the universal Church, we believe:
Marriage — DFC, also known as, Destiny Faith Center, defines marriage as the permanent, exclusive, comprehensive, and conjugal “one flesh” union of one man and one woman, intrinsically ordered to procreation and biological family, and in furtherance of the moral, spiritual, and public good of binding father, mother, and child. A pastor of DFC may only marry someone with the biblical qualifications as stated above. A failure to meet the above qualifications disqualifies the applicant. (Genesis 1:27-28, Genesis 2:18-24, Matthew 19:4-9, Mark 10:5-9, Ephesians 5:31-33)
Sexual Immorality — DFC believes that sexual acts outside marriage are prohibited as sinful. Consequently, DFC members must resist and refrain from any sexual acts outside marriage — including but not limited to adultery, fornication, incest, zoophilia, pornography, prostitution, masturbation, voyeurism, pedophilia, exhibitionism, sodomy, polygamy, polyamory, or same-sex sexual acts. (Exodus 20:14, Leviticus 18:7-23, Leviticus 20:10-21, Deuteronomy 5:18, Matthew 15:19, Matthew 5:27-28, Matthew 15:19, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-13, 1 Thessalonians 4:3, Hebrews 13:4, Galatians 5:19, Ephesians 4:17-19, Colossians 3:5)
Sexual Identity — DFC believes that God created mankind in His image: male (man) and female (woman), sexually different but with equal personal dignity. Consequently, DFC members must affirm their biological sex and refrain from any and all attempts to physically change, alter, or disagree with their predominant biological sex — including but not limited to elective sex-reassignment, transvestite, transgender, or non-binary “genderqueer” acts or conduct. (Genesis 1:26-28, Romans 1:26-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)
Sexual Orientation — DFC believes that God created and ordered man sexuality to the permanent, exclusive, comprehensive, and conjugal “one flesh” union of man and woman, intrinsically ordered to procreation and biological family, and in furtherance of the moral, spiritual, and public good of binding father, mother, and child. Consequently, DFC members must affirm the sexual complementarity of man and woman and resist any and all same-sex sexual attractions and refrain from any and all same-sex sexual acts or conduct, which are intrinsically disordered. (Genesis 1:27, Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:5-9, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Ephesians 5:25-27, Revelation 19:7-9, Revelation 21:2)
Sexual Redemption — DFC believes that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and should seek redemption through confession, repentance, baptism, and faith in Jesus Christ. Consequently, DFC members must try to help and treat with respect, compassion, and sensitivity all who experience same-sex attractions or confess sexually immoral acts, but are committed to resisting sexual temptation, refraining from sexual immorality, and conforming their behavior to RHC Statement of Faith. (Matthew 11:28-30, Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:1-10, I Corinthians 10:13, Hebrews 2:17-18, Hebrews 4:14-16)
Celibacy — DFC believes that Holy Scripture grants two life-enhancing options for man sexual behavior: (1) the conjugal “one flesh” marital union of one man and one woman, and (2) celibacy. Either is a gift from God, given as He wills for His glory and the good of those who receive and rejoice in His gift to them. Celibacy and faithful singleness is to be celebrated and affirmed within the DFC. (Genesis 1:27-28; 2:18, 21-24; Matthew 19:4-6; Mark 10:5-8; Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 7:1-8; Matthew 19:12; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Romans 12:10; 1 Timothy 5:1-2).

To say it boldly, "We were created to worship God in all His Glory!"
Why does the Lord invite us into a posture of worship? The Lord in His mercy, designed us to find our fullest expression in life by standing before Him. I'm accepted, delighted in, and ministering unto Him in thanksgiving and praise. God always chooses the best. God created us to worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
There’s nothing He could want more for us than for us to become like Him. With that in mind, He designed us to be worshippers. Therefore, we are determined to worship God. We are alive in Him! Worship is a cherished and Holy expression of acknowledgment, honor, and humble acceptance of our creator who loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son as a sacrifice for our sin and as our redemption to Father God through Jesus. Worship is a perfect and expressive act of reverence to worship God with all praise and authority in Him. God calls us Kings and Priests and it is our honor and responsibility to our great and Almighty God to minister to Him as He commands. As God's church and ministry, our entire ministry grew out of that priority. Almost everything we've ever learned, we've learned as worshippers, raising our hands and kneeling before God and His throne.
"This is why we’re alive, this is our supreme responsibility, our great God-given opportunity to be those who minister to the Lord."
